Emirates Global Motor Electric (EGME), a UAE-based provider of electric mobility and energy solutions, has announced its appointment as the exclusive distributor of SANY electric trucks in the UAE. The partnership marks a significant milestone in EGME’s mission to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles across key fleet segments.
The agreement enables EGME to introduce a comprehensive range of SANY light- and heavy-duty electric trucks to the UAE market, addressing applications such as logistics, construction, material transport, and industrial operations. These vehicles are designed to meet the operational demands of regional fleets while reducing emissions and operating costs.
The partnership was formalised during a signing ceremony held on 18 September 2023, attended by senior leadership from EGME, Al Fahim Group, and SANY. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing sustainable commercial mobility in line with the UAE’s long-term environmental objectives.
Commenting on the announcement, Ahmed Abdeljalil Alfahim, Chairman of Al Fahim Group, highlighted that the collaboration supports the expansion of electric vehicle options for commercial operators and contributes to the broader sustainability agenda of the UAE.
Hany Tawfik, Head of EGME, added that the appointment reinforces EGME’s strategy of delivering end-to-end electric mobility solutions for commercial fleets. Beyond vehicle distribution, EGME’s offering includes charging infrastructure, fleet support, and customised solutions tailored to specific operational requirements. The company also continues to explore opportunities for localisation and long-term value creation within the UAE.
